Any fool can see that our red, white and blue country has issues with weight gain. We may be the land of the free and the home of the brave, but we’re also overweight. This has got to change on a major level or there isn’t going to be any more room for others in this country. That whole issue with the commercial airliners and the seating was a hint if I ever saw one. What about you? Do you think individuals who are too overweight should pay for two seats? If this question makes you angry, then my guess is you’re overweight. That’s typically how our human emotions work. Regardless, even if this country is not interested in dropping pounds for reasons such as this, you could always do it for the most important factor. I’m referring to your health. You must avoid obesity if you expect to live long. This may mean diet, exercise and boosting your metabolism. All of which can be done with the right program.

Are you interested in boosting your metabolism right now? Hey, I will tell you that proper eating habits and good exercise will do the trick. Now, if you saw me, you would probably scowl with shear annoyance. I am 31 years old, 6’1″ and 170 pounds. Clearly that’s pretty good, according to my family doctor. I have 10 percent body fat. I admit that genetics do play a part. I am one of those individuals who eat regularly and drink protein shakes to keep my body weight. However, I also practice martial arts and weight train. I have been active since I was born. This had a great effect on my metabolism. It’s been going and going and it’s never slowed down. Although some folks say that they’re annoyed with people like me, I can’t help but notice that they do nothing active in their lives. This is their own fault. If you plan on getting thin and boosting your metabolism, then you have to work to get it done. Nothing is free in this world. I work out regularly; you should to. It’s great for your body and confidence. Not to mention it will make you feel so much better and energetic.

Need help boosting your metabolism? No big deal! Take full advantage of your computer right now. Hop online and search for more secrets concerning boosting your metabolism. There are supplements that can aid you with this process as well. What are you waiting for?

Everyone wants to be thin and look pretty. It’s the truth! Regardless of whether you’re male or female, you want to look your absolute best. It’s only natural because this is what the opposite sex is attracted to. A Victoria’s Secret model isn’t going to swoon over a 300 pound man who’s 5’8″ and absurdly obese. This is why many of us work hard to stay fit. We want to maintain that ideal body weight and chiseled physique. What is an ideal weight anyway? Hmm, this is a great question, and one that has no specific answer.

When you think of an ideal body weight for yourself, what comes to mind? Wait; let me go first. I’m a 31 year old male with a medium bone frame; I stand at 6’1″ and have about 10 percent body fat. I currently weigh 175. Most people would probably consider this fine. Notice the things I factored in. You have to consider bone frame, age, height, and percent body fat. Without one of these, people can be thrown off. Imagine for example if I had 32 percent body fat. This would change everything. If you’re not sure how the body fat scale works, let me fill you in. Let’s say you’re a 100 pound female with 10 percent body fat. This would mean that 10 pounds of your overall weight it fat. Now, back to me; I don’t consider myself to have an ideal body weight. Personally I would prefer to have around 5 more pounds of lean muscle. But hey, I’m working on that.

Muscle and fat are major issues when pondering an ideal body weight for yourself. If you’re lean and totally fine with that, then there’s nothing wrong with your body weight. So long as you’re not overly skinny. Fat on the other hand is completely different. You only want a certain percentage of your body to be fat. Too much fat results in obesity and heart issues. Women are aloud to have a higher percentage of body fat than men. Since men posses more muscle tissue, they’re body fat should be lower. Now, when you’re thinking ideal body weight, don’t forget that muscle weighs more than fat does. If you’re an avid weight lifter and stacked with lean muscle, this can throw the standard ideal body weight chart completely off. The best thing you can do is go by your appearance and the way clothing fits.

I’ve often noticed how concerned folks are with weight. Has this issue come up in your home or workplace? I would bet my life’s savings that it has. There’s just no avoiding it. The funny part is that individuals are more concerned about their weight than they are about how they truly look. The answers all lie in the weight scale. This little device will determine whether or not you feel good about your self today. So hop on and see where the needle goes. Okay, I have to be the one to shout out that this is BOGUS! It’s not about your weight, nor has it ever been about your weight. What truly matters is what you look like.

Is there even one house in the United States that does not have a weight scale? If there is, I’ve never seen it. Maybe it belongs to some nature nut, who resides way out in the boonies and lives solely off the land. Yeah, that’s probably about right. As for the rest of us, we like to keep up with our poundage. Personally I weigh around 170. It can fluctuate a couple pounds either way of course. It all depends on whether I just ate or just got out of bed. Now, I definitely notice that the two females in my home, my wife and teenage daughter, like to weigh themselves on a digital weight scale each and every day. Why put yourself through this misery, I tell them. It’s not how much you weigh; it’s what your body looks like. Just take a gander at any female body builder. How much do you think they weigh? My guess is quite a bit. Especially for a woman. This is due to all the muscle mass they possess. I certainly don’t think they have much fat on those limbs. And that is the key! You don’t want to have 30 percent body fat. This is unhealthy. You want muscle! So ditch the weight scale and start working out. A nice cardio and weight training regime will do the trick.

Of course you can purchase virtually any variation of weight scale you please in this day and age. The clear ones at Sharper Image always catch my eye. Some folks like them because they also measure your body fat content. This is a good thing to keep up with. On the other hand, don’t obsess about body weight and weight scales. Work out and eat right. These are the important factors to being healthy and looking good.
